16 x 11.4cm, 2pp art postcard published by DIA in NYC displaying one of Alighiero E Boetti's world map tapestries (from the exhibition Worlds Envisioned). The card comes with a blue lapiz lazuli tipped earring. All are found in a manilla bard backed envelope - 23 x 16cm, with printed label which explains how the work should be presented: "Using the attached earring please pin the post card directly to the walk through the hole provided."
The hole in the card is in Afghanistan where Boetti had many of his tapestries made by artisans and also is buried. The blue earring is also heavily associated with the region. This is a remembrance of the artist in many ways.
This is one of only 9 examples - each signed and numbered by Monk in pencil on the back of the postcard. VG+

20.5 x 20.5cm, 2pp announcement card for a group show honouring Bruce Nauman with work by a wide number of artists including Jonathan Monk. The front image is by Jessica Diamond. VG+.

N.p.: s.p. (Monk), 2006 9 x 6cm, outer folder with tipped in 6pp accordion sheet with five colour images of swimming pool bases being stored on their side with one blank page. The book references both Richard Long's A Walk Past Standing Stones and Ed Ruscha's Nine Swimming Pools and a Glass of Milk (which also has one blank page in it). A visual joke as much as a neo-conceptual work. Slight sealed tear to folder along the bottom else VG+. Scarce....

21 x 15cm, 8pp. A single number of the gallery's newsletter which covers various exhibitions and includes an interview Monk and additionally various paragraphs have been removed by Monk by overprinting of a white column hence also this has elements of being an artist's book. VG+.

21 x 15cm, 8pp plus card covers (which have tabs and metal hinges for storage). Exhibition catalogue for a retrospective exhibition of the work of the Dutch conceptual artist. There are 6 works reproduced in b/w and colour.
The catalogue has a text written by Jonathan Monk as foreword about Ader.
The catalogue is signed in pencil by Monk on the inside first page. VG+.

11 x 18cm, 16pp (self cover). Installation catalogue for a major public work by Monk where he used the major electronic advertising screens at Potsdamer Platz in berlin - the images being of Freddy Mercury - and the sound being Bohemian Rhapsody. There are b/w images of the work and one colour portrait of Monk. Text in German.
The last page of the brochure has a slight closed tear else VG.

This copy is unusually signed on the back cover of the hardback binding in felt tip pen within the drawing of Monk's hand. Fine.

10 x 21cm, 6pp. Announcement card for a solo show with one work (an upside down bicycle) illustrated plus gallery texts. This example is signed by Monk and additionally has a white post-it note added "Dear Paul 2 more cards with thanks JM" (a reference to Postcards Posted from Post Box Pictures which Monk had asked Paul Robertson to post from the box on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. VG+.

Rosebery: Stahlemuhle, 2006
30 x 10 x 8cm, two part thick cardboard display box with label content of a 0.51L bottle of clear bottle of schnapps with printed label and straw.
The bottle label denotes the liquor as "Merry Monk" and has the date February 4th 1969 and REST IN PEACE on it - the whole being a remembrance of the artist's father who died while Monk was a young man. His father seemingly liked a drink - hence the Merry Monk of the name.
This is one of only 66 such bottles produced and signed with Monk's signature "Until then/Jonathan Monk" on the bottle label and numbered.
VG condition although there is very slight staining to the label and the box and the cheap box staples are somewhat rusted over time - but a scarce object multiple.
