Black on white on two pieces of paper – each 28 x 21.5cm. Two of the well known conceptual artist’s first schematic drawings for the title installation in the Parc de Kerguehennec, France where he built a large Trilithe (as an aside this was a mistake on the artist’s part – there are no trilithes in Brittany – unlike in Britain at Stonehenge – but only dolmen: when confronted with this fact by a critic, Sonnier simply shrugged).
Nonetheless the eventual work is regarded as one of the more important sculptures in what is also regarded as the most important sculpture park in France
Both drawings are in very good condition albeit with some surface soft creases (after all these were the actual sketches used by Sonnier to show his ideas to his colleagues). The drawings are on lined blue paper from a jotter and later removed.
Price is for both drawings together.
