15 x 10.5cm, 4pp. Announcement card for a joint show with Klaus Merkel - the front of the card is a text in English by Merkel and on the back of the card Monk has simply mirrored the text such that it reads right to left. 30 x 21cm, 1pp inkjet output printed in black, green and purple with the overlapped text "I got up at 6.45am" - a reference to the work of On Kawara - and also stamped in green ink from a hotel's address stamp - to reference Kippenberger's hotel stationery drawings - and two gouache paintings of a rough square and a circle. There are three collage elements - one an Arabic postal stamp which is glued to the paper and two unattached items - a German transport ticket and a photographic booth self portrait of the artist. Additionally the paper has a rust mark on the left which seems to have come from an old rust paper clip.
The work (which brings together associations from the work of a number of different conceptual artists) is signed in pencil "JM10" bottom right. A gift from the artist to Paul Robertson. Unique.
