Alba/Milano: Stampato del Laboratorio Sperimentale della S.I.I.S., 2 via 20 setembre, 4 juillet, 1958
22.5 x 14cm. single sheet printed in red with text. First issue of this scarce tract from the Italian section of the I.S. demanding the liberation of Van Gugliemi, who was arrested for the “desecration” of an institutionally housed tableau by Rafael with the manifest statement: “Vive la revolution italienne! A bas le gouvernment clerical”. The Italian section was headed by the painter and theorist Guiseppe Pinot-Gallizio, and developed out of the historical “Alba” laboratory conferences of the early 50’s, which culminated in the formulation of the Bauhaus Imaginiste concept.
