White cotton t-shirt with hand drawn text. An unique work created by Patterson for a Glasgow School of Art charity auction – the text reads “Harry Houdini” . Created at the time when the YBA had just created a major installation Escape Routine (2002) where flight attendants alternately demonstrate in-flight safety procedures and feats of escapology, whilst a smooth voiceover reads extracts from Harry Houdini’s writings on magic and stagecraft. Slightly creased but unworn. Signed and dated.
