28 x 28cm, 399 pp with pictorial card covers. The extensive and comprehensive exhibition catalogue for the large retrospective of Beuys’ work at the Pompidou Centre. Texts in French and English by Harald Szeemann, Heiner Bastian and Ann Temkin with a vast number of b/w reproductions of works, installations, the artist at work, etc. There is also an extensive chronology is interspersed with short “testimonials” by a number of contributors, including Per Kirkeby, Jorg Immendorf, Nam June Paik, Caroline Tisdall, and Bernd Kluser. Some dog ears to the corners and edge wear but a scarce item much desired as the most complete Beuys’ documentation in monograph form.
