19.7 x 14cm, 24pp. Original wrappers. First Edition, usually noted to be one of a total release of 123 copies.
A whimsical tale set in Paris illustrated by two original hors-texte reproductions after original drawings by Fernand Leger (on better paper) and a frontispiece portrait of the author by Ossip Zadkine. Jakovsky was a well connected art critic who after close friendships with Picasso, Braque, Delauney and others turned to an interest in outsider art after an accidental encounter with the work of le Dounier Rousseau. A fine copy.
