NYC: Lazerides, n.d. (2007)
15 x 10.5cm, 40pp (self cover). Exhibition brochure and catalogue for the first non-too successful attempt to introduce the British enthusiasm for street art to the States where a shop was opened in the Bowery by Lazerides – the problem being for them that it was full of UK tourists (the pound being so high against the dollar) buying stuff to take back to England, Scotland etc to sell on for profit and leaving the US wondering what the fuss was about. The usual trick on dropping prices to allow access to a new market just meant that the old market could buy at a discount – and did (including us)! The artists included Faile, Paul Insect, Antony Micallef, Jonathan Yeo, Miranda Donovan, Invader, Conor Harrington, Zevs, David Choe, Mark Jenkins, Todd James, VHILS, BLU, Polly Morgan, BORF, BAST, Ian Francis and MODE 2. each has 2pp in the catalogue with a colour image and text. Fine.
