Edinburgh: Demarco Gallery, 1980
44 x 32cm, b/w political poster designed and conceived by Joseph Beuys who used the print to promote the alternative economic strategy which was being promoted by the democratic left in Britain as an alternative to Thatcherism. In 1976 the Lucas Aerospace Combine Shop Stewards Committee produced an Alternative Corporate Plan for Lucas Aerospace that advocated the production of social useful products including ideas in public transport that were more green than existing products (eg a road rail vehicle). This poster issued in Edinburgh by Demarco and Beuys during the 1980 Edinburgh International Festival is not found in the Prestel Beuys Posters catalogue raisonne and is very scarce. VG+.
