INVITATION TO THE DANCE. UNIQUE DRAWING. MAY 2003. SIGNED, DATED & TITLED.

15 x 21cm, blue, yellow, red, black and silver ink on paper: signed, titled "Invitation to the dance" and a quotation - "Anglosaxinated” is placed above a directional arrow displacing the text towards two open spaces in a silver wall. Given the geographical location of the work's sale (Glasgow, Scotland) during a period of political debate over Scottish independence; it is tempting to see the work as a comment on English imperialism over their Northern neighbours. Fine. Image on request. Full provenance available.
