Drakabygget: Bauhaus Situationiste, 1985
24 x 17.8cm, 192pp plus printed wrappers. A triple number of this artistic journal founded by Nash and Jorn (who were brothers) after the former was excluded from the International Situationists by Debord along with the SPUR grouping. The magazine was subtitled Tidskrift for konst mot atombomber, p var och politiker (“Magazine for art against atomic bombs, popes and politicians”).
The new organisation formed by Nash was called the “Bauhaus Situationists”. The journal was named after the Drakabygget farmhouse in Southern Sweden where Nash lived and turned into a commune.
This number published after a lengthy gap of 22 years from the first numbers has contributions by Al Hansen, Ake Bjurhamn, Helmer Lang, Kjell Erik Vindtorn, Lis Zwick, Walther Stohrer, Carl Fredrik Hill, Wilhelm Freddie, Helmut Sturm, Spur, Jorgen Nash, and others and is illustrated in b/w with new collages, drawings and found imagery.
A mostly VG example but there is some damage to the top and bottom of the spine with minor paper loss. This is one of the most difficult numbers of the series to find despite being more recent than the first 7 numbers. Priced to reflect the minor damaged.
