The first edition of this book of “hermetic” poems from the Romanian avant garde-ist with a full page, woodcut portrait of the author by the dadist Janco (Ianco) as frontispiece
The title translates as “Second game: verses”. This copy is in fine condition and is augmented by a hand-dedication from Ion Barbu to another Rumanian poet, Alexandru Busuioceanu, dated December 23th, 1929.
This example of this already very scarce book is from a small number of hors commerce copies retained by Barbu which were printed on better paper “semivelina vargata” and numbered (here “VIII” from only 50 such copies. Rare.
