A scarce monograph with an extensive text in English with 513 illustrations in black/white of Beuys’ work – written by his closest friend and supposedly the ‘secret person’ in Ireland. The most accessible explanation of Beuys’ life and work up to 1979 and a key text in understanding the shaman’s symbolic works. This copy unusually signed by Beuys on the first endpaper. Scarce but doubly so signed. Very good.
