Paris: Librairie des Lettres, 1924
19 x 12.2cm, 158pp. Original wrappers. First edition of this collection of poetry from Ott who was the youthful wife of Georges Hugnet during the latter’s emergence as a distinctive voice within the surrealist group. This example has a signed dedication by Ott to a madame Myrtille Hubert in a wonderfully trained hand. Internally a bit browned due to cheap paper but otherwise a very good example of a work that is interesting as much for its lack of a surrealist sensibility despite the author’s presumed access to the new ideas which motivated her partner. Scarce.
