Darboven’s conceptual artwork was perhaps always destined to find an expression in musical composition – the manipulation of pure number relations could easily be transposed into musical “rules”. This being an example of her work that was first performed at the opening of her Kulturgeschichte 1880-1983 exhibition. Fine.
