Vienna: Gallerie Peter Pakesch, 1987
24 x 17.5cm, 32pp. Printed dustjacket. The second version of this catalogue by Kippenberger (issued after the first edition was withdrawn because the artist didn’t like the over dark illustrations) also contains b/w images of 14 sculptural works and an interview between the artist and Joachim Lottmann. This was one of a series of artist’s books that parodied in design an earlier Piero Manzoni publication from Sonnebend 1972. In truth the printing has only altered internal by the printer using less black – otherwise the inner books are the same.
This “second edition” came with a new design for the dust jacket which has reproduced Kippenberger’s alterations to the first.
This example came from Jorg Schlick’s library. Kippenberger Books (Koch) Nr 53.
