We currently process orders online by PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account for your card to be processed securely.

If you would prefer to pay by Bank Transfer (for orders over £500 only), please place the order online and we will contact you to complete the transaction and issue an invoice if required.

SHIPPING
We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 to 48 hours.

We prefer to use Royal Mail “Signed and Tracked“ option where possible but for some larger or more valuable items we may insist on using direct priority couriers.

PACKING
We try to keep costs down and we are also aware of the effects of packing on the environment.

Where possible we try to recycle packaging materials. If you require new pristine packing boxes/envelopes (say for a gift) then please let us know.

Large posters are usually rolled and sent in firm tubes - if you require flat packing for any large item then please let us know on ordering:in such cases, there may be a surcharge to cover the extra costs.

Other items are send in appropriate packaging.

INSURANCE
We will cover all shipments with full loss insurance up to £250. Thereafter a surcharge is needed.

We will consider sending items without full insurance but this is at the purchaser’s decision and risk. If you wish us to do this then please indicate in writing what you want us to do.





Unoriginal Sins is an established venture trading in the field of the contemporary and modern avant garde movements from 1900 to the present day. We have a vast inventory of books, documents, artworks, ephemera, object multiples, LPs and other digital media as well as representing major collections from significant artists.

We trade almost entirely online - we purchase new material all the time and offer regular clients email lists (which you can sign up to here) of new arrivals. Soon after the distribution of those lists, new items are placed online so it is worth returning regularly to this site to see what new things are for sale.

It may be possible to visit in person and see our inventory but that is by appointment only - please email us. We can supply references for new clients should that be required.

We are always looking for new material to add to our stocks - we have a desiderata here but we are interested in all material that is similar to our core interests. Do get in touch.

PROGETTO GENAZZANO. 1983. EXTREMELY RARE LARGE FLAG DESIGNED BY WEINER ON PLASTIC.

Genazzano: np, 1983 30.5 X 94cm, pink, black and green screenprint on transparent plastic vinyl. Two 2.5cm diameter circles cut at left edge for stringing as a flag/banner. Lawrence Weiner's contribution to the 1983 group show Progetto Genazzano, an exhibition curated by Rudi Fuchs in an abandoned castle in the town of Genazzano, about an hour outside Rome. The text is in Italian and English and reads "Having Been Laid bare, laid open, lain on". Limitation is not known but it seemingly was not many. The banner shows some wrinkling and lines from folding and is not particularly well printed as some colours are to be found with small colour lines in the wrong areas but it is extremely rare.

London: Air Gallery, 1986 32 x 22.5cm, printed manilla envelope with a design by Weiner content of two silkscreen limited edition “street posters” - both 60 x 42cm (folded twice as issued) printed black and pink and black and yellow both with designed by Weiner - MY HOUSE IS YOUR HOUSE and WE ARE SHOPS AT SEA NOT DUCKS ON A POND. The paper is lined manilla brown. There is an additional 30 x 21cm, 1pp information sheet with a text by Rudi Fuchs, Unusually both posters are very neatly dedicated and signed by Weiner at the bottom. These are two of the artist’s most attractive text works and they were released as a multiple during the exhibition Works from the Lawrence Weiner poster archive of the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design 1965 - 1986. Fine in VG envelope.

Vienna: Galerie Hubert Winter, 1986 20.6 x 10.1cm, lacquered six-sixed enamel plate  with black, pink, and yellow silkscreen, with four holes and brass rivets for mounting. Design by Weiner - released in an edition of only 70 examples for the Wien-Fluss exhibition at Wiener Festwochen. The text in german roughly translates to: "My house is your house/your house is my house/ but if you shit on the floor, you'll also shit on your feet" VG+ with no rust or other flaws. Scarce.

BRUG. IN MUSEUM JOURNAL 4. 1988.

Amsterdam: Museum Journal, 1988 25 x 17.5cm, 64pp (numbered 201 to 265) and card covers. A single number of the long running museum journal which carried articles and news of Dutch exhibitions as well as artist contributions as here. Weiner has designed the cover of the issue and internally there is a four page insert "BRUG" with a b/w design and the texts "AS FROM ONE MEANING TO ANOTHER" and "THE CHANGE OF STATE DOES IN FACT MEAN A CHANGE IN VALUE". The cover is in colour (blue and yellow). Sadly there is a diagonal crease bottom right on the front cover else the publication is VG+.
