Chalon du Saone: Espace des Arts, 1989 21 x 15cm, 2pp announcement card in printed 16.5 x 23cm envelope with 30 x 21cm, 1pp black on transparent paper insert. A group show of conceptual artists which included Wincenzo Agnetti, William Anastasi, Marcel Broodthaers, On Kawara, Joseph Kosuth, Les Levine, Yokuta Metsuzawa and Lawrence Weiner. Small portraits of each artist are found on the front of the card (except On Kawara). Details of the show can be found on the transparent sheet which also mentions an artistic intervention on the billboards of the city - folded for mailing. All VG+.

9 x 14.2cm, 2pp. Unique mail art work by Weiner - sent to Delfryd Celf - where the card is one of a number of offset printed cards with “Collection Public Freehold” printed on them and Weiner has hand typed in red and black the text “7/89 FURKART/ FURKABLICK HOTEL SWITZERLAND/COVERED BY CLOUDS”. Bottom right he has added a text in red: “CAT. Nr. 629”. A franked, stamped and mailed example of a very rare and unique Weiner item indeed. Fine.

Koln: Walther König, 1989 28.5 x 213mm. 214pp plus boards. The extremely useful catalogue raisonne for all of the early books and catalogues of Weiner. Illustrated with covers throughout and descriptions. This copy is unusually augmented by the fill signature of Weiner in pencil on the title page and then again an initialled signature against the text: “You can tell a book by its cover. The book occupies a functioning space within any context it finds itself in.” Scarce but especially with a signature. Fine condition.

Amsterdam.:Joods Historisch Museum, 1990 17 x 17cm, 12pp plus card covers with title label. Exhibition catalogue with four works by Weiner reproduced and a short essay in Dutch and English by Renee Waale. Unusually both inner flaps of the card covers have the artist designed postcard LICHT = LIGHT on them which can be taken out of the book by perforations. These are in place and untouched. VG+.
