Unoriginal Sins is an established venture trading in the field of the contemporary and modern avant garde movements from 1900 to the present day. We have a vast inventory of books, documents, artworks, ephemera, object multiples, LPs and other digital media as well as representing major collections from significant artists.

We trade almost entirely online - we purchase new material all the time and offer regular clients email lists (which you can sign up to here) of new arrivals. Soon after the distribution of those lists, new items are placed online so it is worth returning regularly to this site to see what new things are for sale.

It may be possible to visit in person and see our inventory but that is by appointment only - please email us. We can supply references for new clients should that be required.

We are always looking for new material to add to our stocks - we have a desiderata here but we are interested in all material that is similar to our core interests. Do get in touch.

A ZINE FOR YOU. 2020. AN UNIQUE PUBLICATION CREATED ESPECIALLY FOR THE PURCHASER.

Gorebridge/Toronto: Show & Tell Editions/Micah Lexier, 2020

Unique artist's book customised for the purchaser based on her or his instructions. The “zine" consists of a repeated graphic of a hand holding a pencil, inkjet-printed on a 140 x 216mm page. One image is on each page. Typical is 16pp but is sometimes more.

On each page Lexier writes a single word in pencil with the end of that word touching the end of the “pencil”.

The play between the hand-drawn word and the printed image is what makes these drawings work.

The pages will be bound together with two staples to create a small zine.

Each zine is at least 16 pages.

Each zine is packaged in a simple white cardboard box that also has a personalised hand/pencil drawing on the cover.

The inside lid of the box is signed and dated in pencil by the artist.

The handwritten text can be personalised to include your name or someone else’s name if you decide you wish to dedicate this zine - hence a "A ZINE FOR YOU”
