Christian Boltanski

Lausanne: Musee Cantonal Des Beaux-Arts, 2021 21 x 15cm, 48pp plus card covers. Exhibition catalogue for Boltanski's last ever exhibition - various large scale works relating to Les Suisse Morts and a show of artist's books. Many illustrated in colour with a text in French. Sadly Boltanski died on Bastille Day (July 14th) during the run of this exhibition. VG+....

Paris: Marion Goodman, n.d. (2017)
Standard 7inch single, 45 rpm in card sleeve. The music consists of two French lullabies (Il Était Un Petit Navire and Sainte-Elizabeth) and a traditional song from Bretagne (Fais Dodo Colas Mon Petit Frère).
This edition was probably made up from unused records from the deluxe edition of Boltanski's 1991 release "Livres", in which 60 copies of the record was included. This later re-release is one of 20 numbered copies each with a unique cover (an original photograph tipped onto the card sleeve. This version is unopened and unplayed - and in original plastic wrapping (hence the poor quality of the image here).

Paris: Centre Pompidou, 2019
24.5 x 33cm, thick printed card bound together with elastic band closures. A drawing board with two of the artist's installations on front and back - the lights spell out arrive and depart - an obvious reference to birth and death. This was an unlimited edition issued at the time of the major career surveying Paris exhibition. Initially "Faire son Temps" was envisaged as a major retrospective but the artist refused and insisted that new work be on display along with earlier material. This example is unwrapped in original shrink wrap plastic. VG++.
