Artist designed exhibition catalogue and poster -b/w photograph of a two Afghanistan mules in a landscape is recto and verso gallery details and a text in Italian and English regarding Monk's debt to Boetti (who is buried in Afghanistan). This copy is unusually signed in pencil on the front cover by Monk. Fine.

24 x 17cm, 44pp plus wrappers. Artist's book and exhibition catalogue designed by Monk with numerous colour images of photographs of Afghanistan taken by a Monk surrogate from his rear view car mirror and a film about Monk's understanding of the place where Boetti wanted to be buried after his death. There is an interview between Monk and Boetti's son and short essays all in both Italian and English. This copy of this early book is signed by Monk on the first page. VG+.
